White label
A white label is software licensed from a provider and run under your own brand.
What it means
Prop firms use white labels for most of their technology. A trading platform white label gives the firm the platform under its own name and logo. CRM and trader dashboard white labels do the same for the sales and account side. All-in-one white labels bundle the platform, CRM, dashboard and KYC in one package.
The MetaTrader 5 route changed in late 2022, when MetaQuotes stopped issuing new MT5 white label licenses. New firms now reach MT5 through a provider with a full server license, or choose other platforms such as Match-Trader, cTrader, TradeLocker or DXtrade.
Typical public prices, checked September 2026: an all-in-one prop firm white label costs about $2,749 to $3,000 to set up, with no monthly fee, but the provider keeps 50% to 70% of challenge revenue, depending on the model. A platform white label such as Match-Trader's Basic plan costs $2,500 a month.
Before signing, check who owns the trader data, how you export it if you leave, and what happens to your traders if the provider loses access to the platform.
Worked example
Illustrative case: a new firm licenses a trading platform white label and an all-in-one dashboard. Traders see only the firm's own name and logo on the platform, the dashboard and the emails. The provider runs the servers and updates, and the firm handles its brand, rules, pricing and marketing.
