Instant funding

Instant funding gives a trader a funded account straight after purchase, with no evaluation to pass first.

What it means

The trader pays a fee and starts on a funded account at once, so rewards can be earned from the first cycle. The account is usually simulated, like most funded accounts. Because the firm has not tested the trader, it protects itself in other ways: a higher fee for the same account size, tighter drawdown limits, a lower starting profit split or a stricter consistency rule.

For a firm, instant funding is a separate product with a different risk profile from a challenge. Fewer buyers fail before reaching a funded account, so more accounts can reach a reward. Firms that sell it should model reward costs with care and publish the full rule set. Traders should compare the total cost and the rules, not only the speed.

Worked example

Illustrative numbers: a firm sells a $25,000 instant funding account with a 5% trailing drawdown and a 50% starting profit split. A trader makes $1,500 in the first reward cycle and receives $750. On a challenge account, the same trader would first have needed to pass an evaluation.
